Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette and Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk

These 'Perfect Partners' are the ultimate combination for an evening look! This palette screams out to be worn, it is so beautiful.

Charlotte Tilbury states she has 'de-coded the secret to mesmerizing eyes' , and mesmerize it does.
This palette is particularly PERFECT for green eyes, the reddy copper brown, champagne gold and bronzey browns accentuate the brightness in your eyes, giving that sultry Mediterranean 'Dolce Vita' look... but this palette still works beautifully for all eye colours and skin tones.

The texture of these shadows are buttery soft, with incredible pigmentation, making them super blendable. The staying power is pretty great too!

 1. Prime shade: A light champagne shade with hints of  gold shimmer (gorgeous worn alone for a daytime look)

2. Enhance Shade: A coppery red toned brown

3. Smoke shade: A bronzey chocolate brown

4. Pop Shade: An 'old gold' chunkier glitter (best applied with fingers) which brings the look together!

This palette can provide that 'Desk to Dusk to Disco' look. Charlotte herself has an amazing tutorial demonstrating how to get the best out of this palette.

The nude-pink soft finish of the Lip Cheat in 'Pillowtalk' provides the perfect lip look, enhancing size and shape but not outdoing the eyes. This stuff last and lasts! It is waterproof with a 6 hour + wear
This is hands down the best lip liner I have ever owned but at £16 isn't the cheapest, but it's certainly worth it!

I have a post with some dupes/similar liners coming up which are more purse friendly.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation Review...The Best Drugstore Foundation Ever?

Wide shade rage? Check
Blendable and buildable? Check
Long lasting? Check
For £9.99 can you get a better everyday foundation? Well, I don't think so,  I love this foundation!
Available in 23 shades in the UK, L'Oreal claim this foundation provides coverage without caking and conceals imperfections due to it's micro-fine, creamy texture that blends perfectly with the skin.
I have to agree with all of that.

I wear the shade D3/W3 and apply it with the Real Techniques buffing brush.
I have combination-dry skin, with an oily T Zone.
I can put this foundation on at 6am, return home at 8.30pm and it is still on (without primer and without powdering) with only some slight movement on my T-Zone area . Applying primer and powder only enhances this foundation even more.
In terms of finish, I'd say this is a semi-matte to matte foundation on my skin, and the colour is perfect- it's still wearable on days where I'm a little paler or a little more tanned than usual due to it's ability to adapt to skin so well.

I love wearing it with the L'Oreal Lumi Magique primer underneath to give it a bit of a glow, but if you're looking for a more overall dewy foundation then check out L'Oreal's Lumi Magique foundation. Blog post coming soon on both of these!

Pps, I hope you like my improved Blog pics... thanks to my new camera!

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

This is holy grail for me! Hands down THE best moisturiser I've ever used.

I love this product so much because it has multi-use purposes, as well as using it as a daily moisturiser, you can also use this OVER makeup or as a 5 minute moisture mask.

If you find the odd dry area once you've finished your makeup, a dab of this and it soaks into the skin relieving that patchy surface often left by dry spots on the face. In terms of the moisture mask- this is the perfect product for long-haul flights! On my trip to Australia this stuff saved my skin on the plane, it was so dehydrating and after I smothered this over my face it immediately felt more hydrated and continued to do so, it was then easily rubbed in after leaving it to sit on the face.

This is an oil-free gel consistency moisturiser, and for me this is so much better than a cream. It sinks in so quickly but is continually hydrating at the same time, not tacky, shiny or greasy. It leaves your skin feeling baby soft and I've noticed it's helped with healing blemishes I have.
I think this works for any skin type. I have combination-dry skin, which is particularly dry at the minute, Clinique also state this is suitable for skin types 1,2,3 & 4 according to their system!

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Elixir

I popped into Boots yesterday to pick up a few bits of makeup I was running short on. But this was the main item on my list. It's fairly new from the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Range. I'd heard about this from one of Anna's videos on YouTube (Viviannadoesmakeup) and I had to try it out for myself.

So how is this different from any other fake tan?
Well, the gist of this product is that you apply it once it for 3 consecutive days, and the result should last 2 weeks!

The texture of this is very different  because it is an elixir. It has a watery-gel like consistency which dries fast (as claimed) . However, it dries fast to the point you HAVE to be quick! And because the formula is non tinted (it's a sort of golden yellow colour) I'd say you have to be pretty good at applying fake tan to be confident to use this... Unless you want to lose a layer of skin trying to exfoliate off any mistakes!

Fortunately I'm not too bad at applying fake tan, and I really liked the fact that this product did not make me feel disgustingly dirty after I had applied it. I applied this using only gloves.
I would NOT recommend that you use a fake tan mitt/old sock/ etc . The product dries too quickly for you to have an even enough spread  of the elixir, without having to use too much  product; as it will all have soaked into the mitt.

I would recommend  that you are well moisturized  beforehand, the Nivea in- shower moisturizer is a dream to use before tan  because it doesn't leave any residue that would interfere with the tan itself. This product is not forgiving on dry patches so you really can't afford to be flaky with this one.

L'Oreal claim that this  has a  ' no self-tan smell' which is true initially, but when you wake up the next morning it definitely does leave a hint of biscuit.
Also the great thing about this is it doesn't stain bed sheets , so thumbs up for that!

Colour wise I'd definitely say  that this product adapts to your skin tone. I've read reviews from pale girls who say it gives them a lovely golden tan. I have medium olive skin  which tans naturally in the sun very well, and this has definitely given me a colour I like, just from the first application. I just worry how dark I will go with another 2 applications. Perhaps with showering etc it will lighten down a little. Anyway, here is a picture from my day 1 application in natural light, with no flash.

I will put up progress pics for day 2 and 3 and  then update as to how long the tan lasted, and also how it fades.

Right now this is on offer at Boots & Superdrug for  around  £10.66  (1/3 off) so a saving of around £5 or so. I'd recommend grabbing it now before it goes up again.
