Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

This is holy grail for me! Hands down THE best moisturiser I've ever used.

I love this product so much because it has multi-use purposes, as well as using it as a daily moisturiser, you can also use this OVER makeup or as a 5 minute moisture mask.

If you find the odd dry area once you've finished your makeup, a dab of this and it soaks into the skin relieving that patchy surface often left by dry spots on the face. In terms of the moisture mask- this is the perfect product for long-haul flights! On my trip to Australia this stuff saved my skin on the plane, it was so dehydrating and after I smothered this over my face it immediately felt more hydrated and continued to do so, it was then easily rubbed in after leaving it to sit on the face.

This is an oil-free gel consistency moisturiser, and for me this is so much better than a cream. It sinks in so quickly but is continually hydrating at the same time, not tacky, shiny or greasy. It leaves your skin feeling baby soft and I've noticed it's helped with healing blemishes I have.
I think this works for any skin type. I have combination-dry skin, which is particularly dry at the minute, Clinique also state this is suitable for skin types 1,2,3 & 4 according to their system!

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Elixir

I popped into Boots yesterday to pick up a few bits of makeup I was running short on. But this was the main item on my list. It's fairly new from the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Range. I'd heard about this from one of Anna's videos on YouTube (Viviannadoesmakeup) and I had to try it out for myself.

So how is this different from any other fake tan?
Well, the gist of this product is that you apply it once it for 3 consecutive days, and the result should last 2 weeks!

The texture of this is very different  because it is an elixir. It has a watery-gel like consistency which dries fast (as claimed) . However, it dries fast to the point you HAVE to be quick! And because the formula is non tinted (it's a sort of golden yellow colour) I'd say you have to be pretty good at applying fake tan to be confident to use this... Unless you want to lose a layer of skin trying to exfoliate off any mistakes!

Fortunately I'm not too bad at applying fake tan, and I really liked the fact that this product did not make me feel disgustingly dirty after I had applied it. I applied this using only gloves.
I would NOT recommend that you use a fake tan mitt/old sock/ etc . The product dries too quickly for you to have an even enough spread  of the elixir, without having to use too much  product; as it will all have soaked into the mitt.

I would recommend  that you are well moisturized  beforehand, the Nivea in- shower moisturizer is a dream to use before tan  because it doesn't leave any residue that would interfere with the tan itself. This product is not forgiving on dry patches so you really can't afford to be flaky with this one.

L'Oreal claim that this  has a  ' no self-tan smell' which is true initially, but when you wake up the next morning it definitely does leave a hint of biscuit.
Also the great thing about this is it doesn't stain bed sheets , so thumbs up for that!

Colour wise I'd definitely say  that this product adapts to your skin tone. I've read reviews from pale girls who say it gives them a lovely golden tan. I have medium olive skin  which tans naturally in the sun very well, and this has definitely given me a colour I like, just from the first application. I just worry how dark I will go with another 2 applications. Perhaps with showering etc it will lighten down a little. Anyway, here is a picture from my day 1 application in natural light, with no flash.

I will put up progress pics for day 2 and 3 and  then update as to how long the tan lasted, and also how it fades.

Right now this is on offer at Boots & Superdrug for  around  £10.66  (1/3 off) so a saving of around £5 or so. I'd recommend grabbing it now before it goes up again.

What's in my bag: Zara Mini City Bag with zip detail

My bag is the Zara Mini City Bag with zip detail in light pink (it also comes in a gorgeous light blue colour). It's the perfect pastel Spring colour. It's got lovely gold hardware and is a sturdy little bag without being too hard. This bag also comes with a long strap which you can use to wear the bag on your shoulder ( or across your body) however I don't always wear bags this way so I've just kept it inside the bag in case I lose it!

Black leather Chanel purse

I keep my keys, cards and some random receipts in my purse. Ilove this purse, it's so soft and I love the little zip pull

Michael Kors tortoise-shell sunglasses
It's been very sunny the past few days in Glasgow, cold but still sunny so kept these here just in case!

Victoria's Secret Angel spray
I LOVE the smell of this stuff. I bought this in Sydney airport as we don't have VS in Scotland so I went a bit crazy in the fragrance section and bought quite a few of their sprays. This is one of the two handbag sized mists that I bought, and definitely my favourite.

Seventeen lipstick in  Barely Blush
This is my favourite daytime lipstick, it's a 'your lips but better' colour of pink and it has a lovely moisturising consistency

iPhone 5
This bag has a slot for a phone in the main section and my iPhone fits in with a little room to keep my stylus there too

iPad mini with stylus and cleaning cloth (encased in purple magnetic case)
I love my iPad mini- the size is just perfect and I love that this bag has a section which seems like it was made just for this size of iPad. I got the case, stylus and cloth on eBay for around £5 including delivery!

Tangle Teezer
I have really long, fine hair which tangles in the slightest breeze. I started using a Tangle Teezer last year for my hair for when I had just washed it, but now I use it every single day, it's a godsend and I'll never go back to another brush again!

Sleek Contouring and Blush Palette in Light
This is a great 3 in 1 product of bronzer, highlighter and blush.  The bronzer is a lovely matte bronze for contouring, the highlighter is a perfect shimmery highlight that gives a sheen without chunks of glitter, and the blush is a beautiful pinky coral blush with a hint of gold sheen- this is the Sleek dupe for Nars Orgasm! Everything you need for a quick touch up.

Real Techniques powder brush
This is the perfect all round brush to chuck in my bag for using with my Sleek palette

Because this is a new bag I haven't got to the point where I've accumulated a lot of crap at the bottom but I also usually have extra white spearmint gum which I forgot to photograph and usually a few stray kirbies/hair bobbles. I tend to keep my earphones in my jacket pocket as they are always being used- I just have the standard white Apple ones that came with my phone.

I'm so happy to be back doing my blog again. I'm hoping to retry attempting to make YouTube videos again ( more successfully this time I hope) and I may film this as a video if I can get started soon. It may be a few months before I get started as I'm possibly moving to Australia in August so I may hold off until I move but if you have any videos you'd like to see leave a comment below and I'll try and do one as soon as  I can!

B. Pure Micellar Water

I haven't posted in a really long time. I thought I had almost given up blogging for good, but lately there have been a few products that I have loved and just had to share. As an update- I am no longer subscribed to Glossybox. I only sub to Birchbox (formerly known as Joliebox) and I will do a review on this month's box too.
But right now I have to review my favourite product of the minute

The B.Pure Micellar Water

I had heard about this from beauty vlogger on youtube, when they mentioned it was under £5 from Superdrug I rushed out and bought it. It is currently only £3.32 on offer so snap a few up, you will love it.

Unlike some Micellar waters, this one removes eye make up - even waterproof mascara- with no fuss or mess. You just apply to a cotton pad, sweep over your face and voila it's all gone! No need to rinse your face afterwards either, and no nasty residue. I would, however recommend that you don't soak the pad with too much product if you are using it for your eyes as it will sting if it gets into your actual eyeball.
I haven't tried Bioderma, but the fact that I've heard it's no good for eye makeup was enough for me to refrain from sourcing it out. This product is probably more akin to the Taaj Eau Micellaire water but MUCH easier on your pocket at almost 5 times cheaper.

The packaging makes the product look more expensive than it is, but the quality of the product stands up to a high end cleansing water. It's no surprise that this was a winner of a Cosmopolitan Beauty Buy With 150ml of product it is perfect for travel too. It's also vegan/cruelty free :)

Go and buy this, you won't regret it!

Where is my Glossybox???

As I mentioned in my last post I've been away on holiday. I came back to find my Joliebox but no Glossybox. Having emailed them 2 days ago and still no reply, I'm very disappointed in their customer service! It better hurry up and get here, the August one will be out soon enough!

June Joliebox

I apologise for how late this is, I got my box even later than most as I missed the postman, and then I've been on holiday so here it is;

I got the orange box, although I keep wondering what box I would have got if the boxes never got re-addressed. The one I got was originally supposed to be sent to a girl in Ireland!
I was really happy with what I got though, and I will use all of the samples. I do wish that I had gotten the Yonka cream for dry skin as my face is so dry after being on holiday.

Elysambre Gloss- Full Size
This is a really deep red gloss with a subtle light pink shimmer. I think this is definitely a night time lipgloss, but very pretty. It's paraben free and 100% natural.

Yon-ka Pamplemousse Protective and Vitalizing Cream
I received this cream for normal to oily skin types. This was supposed to be a customized product, but after the shipping fiasco everyone got uncustomized random boxes. This cream has a very strong scent so probably not the best if you have sensitive skin, but it feels lovely on. It soaks in well to the skin so would be a great morning moisturizer, but on the other hand it's relatively thick at first so I think it would also work as a night cream too.

L'Occitane Angelica Hydration cream
I love this range! I already had a sample of this cream and the toner too and my skin loves it. I have stopped using my Clinique 3 step in favour of this range (although I still use my Clinique mild facial soap). It smells amazing and is a pleasure to use.

Instiut Esthederm Bronz Repair Body Lotion
I took this on holiday and didn't realise it was a body lotion- I was using it on my face! It was actually very good to use in the sun, but I'm now using it to stop me peeling.

Overall a really nice box, there isn't any product I don't like or won't use. Just a shame about the time it took to arrive.
